The Messengers

The Messengers,

I stumbled on this amazing site of Spirit Guardians about the time I was meant to few years ago and found the fact it existed quite fascinating.  It took me of course by surprise as I have been seeing and living with the numbers 444 for the last 10 years or so, though never knew how common this phenomenon was.  Are these angelic signs or a secret code from beyond the tangible by the unseen?  Absolutely!

My Pick-up Hockey Ladies Nights

“It’s never too late to teach an old dog a new trick”, is what I found myself saying after about a month of doing what I’ve wanted to do pretty much my whole life just never had the chance to do before. Mental blocks, working, too busy, lack of belief or money; who knows why we postpone our dreams and desires? All I know is I’m thrilled doing what I want in life and this is just one of those things so here is my story.

Video of my ART

Oh boy did I get excited when my dear friend A. Jill Gaebel created this awesome video for me. I love her wonderful talent making these for her fellow artist friends, and the cost is oh so reasonable. I think every artist should have one of these on YouTube. Thank you Jill & thanks to the viewers for your wonderful comments and continuous support. Namaste~

Helping to save the RAINFOREST - Prince's Rainforest Project

Everything we do matters. Today I joined by signing the petition to stop the destruction of our rainforest. I know many people think, what can I do to help and who am I to make a difference. The truth is though we all make a difference, TOGETHER. Alone we stand as one but together we are strong and do make a change. Please take a moment and sign the petition to stop the destruction of the rainforest and help save the magic and thousands of special species that live in it. Thank you.

5261492

5261492

Few days ago I had one of the most fantastic and fascinating dreams about the bizarre numbers of 5261492. They were in the precise order as they appear, and it was as if someone whispered these numbers to me as I was waking up. The subconscious mind hears these and transfers them into the conscious where memories, smells and even voices are evoked and remembered. I woke up saying the numbers in the sequence and thank goodness hubby was there to help me out remembering my repetitive rant. Needless to say I did scared the crap out of him, he was still a big help.

2009 Children's Aid Society Fundraiser - My first show

2009 Children’s Aid Society - Fundraiser & Silent Auction

It was my very first ART SHOW held on April 18, 2009 at the Hungarian Hall in Brantford, and I was happy to participate for such a great cause. Months of waiting the moment couldn’t have prepared me for the awesome evening I was about to experience.  The hall was packed with fabulous works of art and the event simply sold out. Walls were graced by water, acrylic and oil paintings of so many wonderful artists of abstracts, realism and impression art, while many folks brought their unique treasures and many antique pieces.   It was going to be a night to remember.

The day began with preparing easels, cards, labels, prices, stickers and of course my art for display. I entered the hall at noon, hoping to find a cozy little corner to set up at. Well, to my surprise the entire hall was already set up as the doors opened at 9:00 a.m. with no room inside except a cozy little corner as I anticipated, though right in the foyer. See, the universe is quirky like that and it always has a sense of humour. It was all right with me as the area was right near the double door entranceway to the grand hall, so beautifully decorated and lit with a brilliant huge chandelier in the centre over the table settings.

When I saw this being the only spot to set up in, and as Fran Welsh the event’s co-ordinator has also suggested, I began setting up right away as it was possibly the last spot available. Who ever said the first is the best? This spot was perfect for me, as far as I was concerned. I was up and set up within 10 minutes, though ended up making two trips while bringing my own table as the one promised to me wasn’t available anymore. I brought two more pieces, which ended up being greatly admired by so many potential buyers and browsers. I entered a total of 7 of my works into the show and I was pretty proud of my humble creations.

As the evening approached I got myself all decked out for the Latino festival, comfy yet sassy with a bit of bling-bling, my evening pumps and headed to the hall. I got there early enough to make final touches to my display. My mom who is my best friend was there to support me all the way. As soon as I saw her smile as she sat there in the parking lot in her vehicle, I knew that everything would be just fine since I had the best supporter I could with me.

New Paintings

If you are a fan of mine and love my photography and other creations, you may not know that I haven't actually painted a new painting for quite a while.  Well, I started painting again.  Here I am with 3 new pieces in a week and I'm getting my touch back.  Like anything else, I hope to get more practice and experiment with colours, shapes and dimensions.  Abstract must be my favoured method of painting.

My set goal for the upcoming New Year 2009 is to paint a lot more and get my portfolio finalized, to present myself to the panel of judges at our local gallery and hopefully get my art on their wall again.  My little fame of having high school drawings up on their gallery walls way back when, will hopefully resurface once again.

To take the pressure off my back and mostly psyche from setting another New Years resolution that is inevitably doomed to fail, I began painting a week early.  This way it doesn't feel like a distant goal, though I'm actually achieving it.

Dimensions: 16 x 20(40cm x 52cm)

Painting Information:  Acrylic original paintings.  Painted on studio stretched canvas on staple free sides.  Paintings do not require a frame. Tango Tulips is done by watercolours on top quality water paper. To purchase the originals please contact me. To purchase copies, please visit my numerous online galleries for competitive pricing.Thank you.

Women for a Change

Women For A Change~

View 'me' on The Women for a Change Community
What a fantastic place to share ideas, inspirations and creativity. It’s all about women. I took a little time this morning before my little darlings were up and created a little something for all the women in this community, that I have the privilege calling my friends. Those who I got to know a little and whose friendship means a lot to me and for those I am still getting to know.

Over time and respectful sharing we create wonderful feeling of oneness. It is within this free feeling that new ideas and art creations are also born as they begin flowing directly through me. A feeling of freedom to speak and share life stories and adventures, that are not judged nor mistreated and mostly are respected. It feels simply wonderful to share so free with just women for a change.

I created this piece using my art/photography combined with my poetic side, in a bit of flair with thought:

If you would like to join this community, please feel free to join and look me up once you do so I can add you to my circle of friends on Women For A Change community. Have a fantastic day! Namaste~

Choices

When I wrote this piece I was experimenting with my own thoughts about what choices we have, how they affect us and how they are altered by society and media. It is a reflection of how I feel and as an artist I expressed it quite well to myself. I think it is one of my best piece of work. Enjoy!

Choices,

I listen
To the utmost prominent voices
Hearing their mere echoes of emptiness
While they whisper and beckon to alter my choices

I trust
This short-lived delegating and swaying
For the radiant core of my spirit is what they seek
